Dear <<First Name>>

But since you excel in everything-- in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you-- see that you also excel in this grace of giving. (2 Cor. 8:7 NIV)
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Cor. 9:7 NIV)

The Bible has much to say about the spiritual discipline of giving.  A good place to begin is to look at 2 Corinthians 8-9.  There we find that giving to the work of your church family should be a joy.  It should be sacrificial, we give to God first, we give willingly, no one forces us to give, it’s between us and God.  We give thankfully and wisely.
As Christians, we don’t give because we’re instructed to, but we give in response to a God who has already given us everything.  Rather than stipulating a fixed amount, the New Testament places an emphasis on generous, abundant, sacrificial, cheerful giving.  So, what would that look like for you?  Pray about it, talk about it, act on it.  Then plan to regularly review your giving, as a spiritual act of service.  At different times in your life, your giving may go up, or down, depending on your circumstances.
We want to be transparent with our finances at the Windsor Fellowship Church and if you’d like to look at the full accounts please do ask or find them on the charity commission website.  Below is a summary of our last financial year with capital expenditure spent on 6 Hunters Mews taken out for clarity.  It’s very encouraging that our giving units have increased, however our overall giving has gone down and we’re running approximately a £1,000 shortfall each month.
For more information about how to give please go to our giving page on our website or speak to Andy Felce and Sam Carson.

This is a family.  We’re in this together.  Our vision is to honour God and to love Windsor.  We’re all involved.  What can you do?

Pray! Review your giving and pray some more!
