The Gold Coast Film Festival has partnered with new foodie precinct
The Kitchens to present films that celebrate the creation, preparation and enjoyment of food.

Join us on the first Sunday of the month for foodie films screened outdoors, surrounded by a bustling urban marketplace where food lovers can come together for the ultimate foodie experience.

Bring your own chair or blanket and grab the perfect spot!

FOR GRACE
The Kitchens, Robina Town Centre - Sunday 6 November 7.00pm

An award-winning documentary about chef Curtis Duffy and the opening of his restaurant Grace in Chicago. For Grace tells the story of Duffy’s determination to achieve three Michelin Stars and the adversity he has overcome.

When: Sunday 6 November, 7.00pm
Where: The Kitchens, Robina Town Centre
Cost: FREE!

SPINNING PLATES
The Kitchens, Robina Town Centre - Sunday 4 December 7.00pm

A look at the real-life journey of three extraordinary restaurants and the passionate people who bring them to life. Their unforgettable stories of family, legacy, passion and survival come together to reveal how meaningful food can be, and the power it has to connect one another.

Cost: FREE!

BONJOUR FRENCH FESTIVAL -
KURRAWA PARK BROADBECH

 

Bonjour French Festival will screen a classic French film as part of their three-day celebration of French culture, activities and entertainment.

On opening night, the Gold Coast Film Festival is proud to present The Intouchables, screening outdoors, under the stars, for a Friday night not to be missed!

THE INTOUCHABLES
Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach - Friday 11 November 7.00pm

The Intouchables is a funny and heart-warming story about a quadriplegic aristocrat who finds an unlikely friend in the young man from the bronx who he hires as his carer. The film reflects contemporary, multicultural France and is bound to leave you feeling good about the world.

Join us for an evening of French food from a variety of food stalls and enjoy a classic French movie under the stars.  BYO blanket or chair.

This film is rated M and contains coarse language and drug use.

When: Friday November 11, 7.00pm
Where: Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach

WHAT'S NEW IN GOLD COAST FILM MAKING?

FLAMMABLE CHILDREN

Australian indie film Flammable Children began filming on location across the Gold Coast this week, bringing with it a great Australian cast.

The comedy by Stephan Elliott will star big names like Asher Keddie, Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce, alongside Julian McMahon (Nip N Tuck), Jeremy Sims (Last Cab To Darwin) and other exciting names!

Flammable Children will be filmed on location across the Gold Coast and at the Village Roadshow Studios.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES
TEASER TRAILER RELEASED!


Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales released its first teaser trailer this week - and it is great!

The film, shot last year on the Gold Coast, is set to be released May 2017!

 

GOLD COAST FILM FESTIVAL 2017
OPENING NIGHT!

We are excited to announce opening night for the Gold Coast Film Festival 2017 will be on Wednesday 19th April!

Next year, the Festival will run from April 19th - 30th, with an amazing program packed full of films and events across the Gold Coast.

AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL MOVIE CONVENTION

Last week, thousands of delegates descended on the Gold Coast for the Australian International Movie Convention (AIMC).

Over five days, film industry professionals travelled from across Australia to take part in seminars, trade shows, film screenings and special events.

The convention featured movie previews and product presentations from major and independent film distributors like Icon, Roadshow, Disney, Fox, Sony and many more!

Also on the program were speakers and panels discussing topical industry issues, award presentations for industry achievements, in which big names like Sam Neill and Sue Milliken took home awards; as well as gala dinners and networking functions.
