Local Mission Focus...Life & Soul

Life & Soul is celebrating turning 15 this year and would like to thank everyone who has faithfully supported us financially and in prayer over that period.  We have worked with homeless teenage parents since 2003 and have developed a programme within local primary and secondary schools to help prevent next generation young homeless. Within primary schools, we deliver assemblies, small group work, 1:1 support and play therapy. Our secondary schools work includes PSHE relationship workshops and Connect mentoring, our collaborative project with Tunbridge Wells Youth for Christ.

We are always encouraged by the behaviour changes we see through Play Therapy intervention and enjoy the feedback from our small group work. You can read more about our work and the testimonies on our website www.lifeandsoul.org.uk. Recently, we had some incredible changes in viewpoints within our relationship workshops and are heartened by the statistics showing a reduction in teenage pregnancies since we began our work.

NEW ROLES
Development Assistant:  As our work develops so must we, and we are advertising for a Development Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a committed Christian with a heart for social transformation, and skills in fundraising and development. It is a part-time role, with the potential to grow with the charity.
Trustee:  We would like to hear from you if you have been a trustee of a Christian organisation and would like to be considered as a Trustee for Life & Soul. We are especially interested in hearing from you if you have a legal background or background in secondary education.  Please contact office@lifeandsoul.org.uk for more information. Thank you.
