What's the Future of Medicine?  What's my Future?

Each of us has a stake in the answer to these questions.
No matter the specific prediction, the future of medical practice is unseen and unknown. Just as the physicians of 50 years ago could not imagine the diagnostic tools of MRI's or genetic screening, so today's physicians cannot completely foresee Medicine in 2066.
Yet, the issue that causes the most apprehension in today's physicians is the changing nature of payment systems.  "Will I be able to provide for my family?" is a query that previous generations never questioned.

  • Here are a variety of thoughts on planning for the future of Medicine while dealing with the pressures of today, with links to short videos for more illumination.
  • Also below, catch up with Paige and Ryan, recipients of the PCMS Promising Student Scholarship fund!
