--------- The ASPIRE (Adolescent Services Providing Inspiration, Recovery & Education) program has provided services to Willard Middle School for more than five years. The program is funded through Alameda County Behavioral Healthcare Services. The goals of the program are to prevent and reduce substance use and to improve health and wellness and school performance of the students. Last year, 97.5% of Willard students receiving services reported it helped them understand the negative effects of drugs and alcohol. Additionally, 100% of faculty surveyed reported improvement among students who participated in the program, including overall attitude, behavior, and school performance.
The Willard Update is the school's electronic newsletter, used for sending important messages from school administration and PTA to our community; the newsletters are prepared by a PTA parent volunteer (firstname.lastname@example.org).
