Bible School Graduations, Discipleship graduation, the birth of our granddaughter - Josephine Grace, and the first church plant of 2018!

Happy 2018!

Dear Friends and Family,

Wow ..... how quickly time passes! It is amazing what happens in 2 short months. We hope your holidays were blessed and you were able to spend it with loved ones.

November / December seems to be so very long ago and so much happened towards the end of last year, that we would like to share with you what the Lord has done and is doing:  In November we had 5 bible school graduations and a discipleship course completion. In December we were blessed with the birth of our beautiful new granddaughter, Josephine, and we were able to spend Christmas together as a family in Montenegro as well.  While visiting Montenegro, the Lord opened up opportunities for Randy to teach and preach in a wonderful church, and we were even given the opportunity to participate in a shoe box distribution with Samaritans Purse in the town of Podgorica, Montenegro.

Thank you for being a part of what the Lord is doing not only here in Swaziland ..... but worldwide. We know that He is Yahweh, a loving God who is present and active in the lives of His people. It is with great joy and excitement that we share with you some of the things we saw the Lord do over the past few months, what He is doing today, and we have great expectations for what lies ahead in 2018!

I always say that a picture is worth a thousands words ..... so this update is filled with many pictures. Enjoy and be Blessed!

Thank you for Praying, thank you for giving, and thank you for being used by the Lord to change the world!
Sending much love from Swaziland,
Karen and Randy

Preaching & teaching in Montenegro

While we were in Podgorica, Montenegro, we had the privilege of preaching at church the church Mark and Kay attend on 2 Sundays, and teaching at their Wednesday night service on 3 different occasions. Pictured is Randy and I with Pastor Vladimir and his lovely wife Mariana. They are such an amazing couple who really love the Lord and the saints in their fellowship.
We did in depth  teaching on the Holy Spirit: who He is, how He helps us in our walk of obedience, how He empowers us to overcome sin and temptation, He encourages us and strengthens us. We also taught on the freedom that is available through Jesus Christ. Many people were set free from things that were holding them back from growing in intimacy with the Lord. We saw physical healings, restored relationships, forgiveness from past hurts and so much more. Praise Jesus! He always sets the captives free!

Samaritans Purse shoe box distribution

While visiting Montenegro, we were given the opportunity to participate in a Samaritans Purse, shoebox distribution. Samaritans Purse - Shoebox Distribution is based on the one person, a Samaritan, who came to the help of a man who was robbed and beaten and left for dead .... when others people just walked by him.  In Luke 10, Jesus shares the story and tells us, "go and do likewise".
Pastors around the world host shoebox distributions in places where people may not know Christ. They invite children and their parents to a presentation, this year it was a puppet show, and share a bible story with them. They introduce them to Jesus and invite them to follow Him.
In Montenegro, there are very few born again believers. This outreach was specifically to introduce people to Christ and share the Love of Jesus with them! What a blessing to be a part of what the Lord is doing in this country!
There was pure joy on the faces of both the parents and children. They were all amazed at the wonderful gifts the children received from people they had never met. It's all about the LOVE of JESUS!
At the end of the program there was a question and answer session, to reinforce what the bible story was about. It was great to hear the kids answer questions about who Jesus is!

First Church Plant of 2018

The first church plant of 2018 has begun! Currently, the tent is in Mliba which is about 1 hour 45 minutes from where we live. We are partnering with a Pastor that teaches at the Evangelical Bible College here in Swaziland. Originally the tent was only suppose to be up for one week, but because the Lord is doing amazing things, he asked if we would leave it up another week!
I think I have mentioned this before but it's worth repeating.  When the tent goes up in a certain area, people flock to hear the message. A person that would normally not even go to church, comes to the tent to hear the Gospel of Salvation preached. It is a remarkable work of the Lord!
Below are some testimonies of what the Lord has been doing.
Every evening, services are held to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all who come. The very first night, 75 people came to the tent and almost 20 accepted Christ as Lord of their life.
Even though meetings happen every night, on this particular day, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, over 20 women gathered to hear the word of God, and to pray for each other.

This woman was prayed for last Friday night. We prayed for healing because she was suffering from back pain, pains in her legs and she was using a stick when walking. We also prayed for restoration in her relationship with her husband because he had left her more than 15 years ago with no communication since then. The Lord healed her AND yesterday she gave testimony that the husband called her and said he is coming home .... glory be to God!

This woman was also in need of prayer to receive healing. She was suffering from pains in the shoulders, neck and sometimes the neck would get swollen, like someone was twisted her neck. But after prayer, she is completely healed and now she is free in Jesus mighty name!
This brings you up to date on some of the happenings here in Swaziland and in Montenegro. We do know that we will be coming to the States for a visit this year .... we are still figuring out what the time frame will be. Once we have the details ..... we will let you know. The last time we were back was in April of 2015, almost 3 years ago. We would love to see so many of you to share stories and see how you are doing.

In the meantime, please continue to pray for the Lord's grace to abound to us as we minister here in Swaziland.
Pray that He continues to reveal Himself to people through the church plants.
Pray for those new believers as they go through the Discipleship course, and discover more and more about their relationship with the Savior.
Pray for each student in the ISOM bible schools, that they get equipped to do the work of the ministry.
Pray for our plans to come to the States for a visit, that our timing is perfect so we can see all of you :-)

Thank you for reading all the way to the end! Thank you for praying for us and thank you for giving toward the Lords work here in Swaziland!
Love from Karen and Randy
