Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Dear Friends and Family,

Greetings from Swaziland! Now that 2015 has come to an end and 2016 is in full swing, we would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your prayers, support and partnership in what the Lord is doing here in Swaziland.

We pray that during the Christmas season, you were able to celebrate the best gift ever, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We were blessed to be together as a family. Shelly was able to come home from the UK and get refreshed and recharged for her YWAM ministry in Harpenden, England!

Thank you for taking the time to read about what the Lord is doing. We love getting emails from you letting us know what the Lord is doing in your lives too!
In His presence,
Randy and Karen Brennan
As we reflect on 2015 and give testimony to what the Lord has done, what comes to mind is Psalm 126:3:

The Lord has done great things for us & we are filled with Joy!

ISOM Bible Schools

In 2015, the Lord opened doors for us to make disciples in the following locations throughout Swaziland and even over the border into South Africa:
Nhlanghano, Manzini, Elukwatini, Sidwashini, and Siteki
These 5 locations are spread throughout the nation. 3 out of the 5 classes were taught in English ... and 2 were taught in Zulu & English. We have found over the years, that there is a huge need in the rural areas for foundational biblical teaching. Very few people will go and minister in the rural areas because of time, distance, expense and necessity for translation. But the Lord has given us the burden and corresponding grace to equip these church leaders, so they in turn can equip the saints to do the work of the ministry. Eph. 4:12 .

Over the course of the year we had the privilege of teaching & discipling over 130 students from 80 different churches. 110 were leaders in their churches such as pastors, teachers, elders, Sunday school teachers, worship leaders and of course lay people as well.

Below are pictures taken from our graduation celebrations at some of the schools. 3 out of the 5 schools will continue into 2016 .... Praise the Lord!

Please know that we want to share with you what the Lord is doing, knowing that he uses broken and weak vessels.  We do not want to take credit for what the Lord has and is doing. We know that “all we have accomplished, he has done.” Isaiah 26:12

~ making ready a people prepared for the Lord. Luke 1:17

Nhlanghano School
Nhlanghano is one of our furthest away schools and is approximately 2 hours door to door!  They are an amazing group of pastors. In this school, we partner with another ministry called Pasture Valley. The directors are Peter and Michelle and their primary ministry is orphan care and they currently have 41 beautiful children. Peter and Michelle also have a heart for local pastors in their area to be trained in the Word of God. Our partnership has allowed us to work together to teach God's Word to the pastors in their area, something they had a heart and desire to do, but did not have the time or grace to do.
Manzini School
This group of students from Manzini completed three trimesters and recieved their certificate in Biblical Studies.  They will continue in 2016 to complete their diploma in Biblical Studies.
Elukwatini School
Elukwatini ...... our school over the border in South Africa!  What a wonderful group of people! We partnered with dear friends of ours Mitch and Char, who used to live in Swaziland but have since moved to South Africa. We too have a common call and vision to see pastors trained in the Word of God so they can lead their churches well. This geographical location is steeped in tradition and culture.  Through teaching the Word of God, the Lord revealed to many in this class, that they could not worship the ancestors any more, and instead could go directly to God through a relationship with Jesus Christ!
Sidwashini School
Nelson and Mlungisi have been raised up by the Lord to help facilitate the school in Sidwashini. Their lives have been changed by the Lord as they participated in class, so they want to teach others what they have learned. This school which started in 2015 will continue into 2016 as well. They have 28  students who will complete their training in April, then Nelson and Mlungisi will facilitate another class beginning May 2016.
Siteki School
These second year students are from our school that met in Siteki, Swaziland. Over the course of two years, we saw so much spiritual growth in these pastors. There was a sense of unity within the group as the body of Christ. They came from over 10 different churches ... but gathered together as brothers and sisters in the Lord advancing the Kingdom of God together in Swaziland.

Testimony Time

A shining example of fruit from our ministry is Pastor William Fakudze. We spent two years pouring into him from 2011-2012. He is responding to God's call on his life to take the gospel to the nations. Mark 16:15. In November, December and January, he responded to the Lord by preaching the gospel in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Botswana, South Africa and of course, Swaziland.  We are making every effort to support him in his calling through prayer support and financially paying for his travels.

The Lord is able to produce obedient disciples like William through the systematic study of His Word. What the systematic study of the Word does is it allows them, the disciple, to be with him, Jesus, through reading his Word .…. Then he sends them out. It says in Mark 3:13

"Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him.  He appointed twelve (like William Fakudze) that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach!"

PRAY - GIVE - GO!

We remember 10 years ago when the Lord spoke to us about GOING to the nation of Swaziland.  You prayed for us and gave so we could GO! What a joy and privilege it is to pray for those who we have had an impact on, and to financially give so they can GO and take the gospel to the nations!!

Looking Ahead to 2016!

Through relationships that have developed over the last nine years, our teaching ministry continues to grow. The Lord has positioned us where we are now in relationship with leaders of church leaders. For instance, the Lord is putting us together with people who are overseeing denominations and church networks. They are asking us to partner with them and train their leaders.

For example, we have a relationship with Pastor Chris Nzimandze who is the chairman of an interdenomational group of over 40 different churches. We will be training this network of church leaders beginning 2016 in Luyengo.

Another example is Bishop Zama Dlamini. He is the Archbishop of a denomination where he is responsible for over 80 churches in Swaziland, and others in South Africa.  For now, we will be adding an additional location to train his church leaders beginning 2016 in Mahamba.

And our third new location will be in Pine Valley, our home area. See below for a little information on Moses & Lindiwe!

In total, we will have six training locations for 2016. Three current schools in Sidwashini, Manzini and Nhlangano and three new schools in Pine Valley, Luyengo and Mahamba.

Moses & Lindiwe

Another new school will be in our home area, Pine Valley. We have been in relationship with one of the local pastors and his wife, Moses and Lindiwe, for several years. The Lord has impressed on our hearts that now is the time to partner together and start a school at his church. When we discussed the idea with Moses, his eyes filled with tears and he said, "The Lord showed me that one day, there would be a bible school here in this location."  It is so amazing to be part of the body of Christ working together to advance the Kingdom of God!!!

Christmas for the Kids!

For Christmas this year we did something a little bit different. We heard about it through a friend of ours in the States, and its called "The Living Christmas". It is a simple formula: YOUR family gives Christmas to ANOTHER family who really is having a hard time. Here in Swaziland there are so many families that are suffering. But for us it was easy to choose to bless Moses & Lindiwe. They have recently opened an orphan home and have taken in 8 beautiful girls. Pray with us that the Lord continue to meet all of their needs!
  • Swaziland continues to suffer from drought conditions. One of the largest cities in the country is on water rationing and has water for 3 days, and no water for 4 days each week.  Please pray for Rain!
  • Pray for us as we continue to minister the Word of God to pastors throughout this lovely nation of Swaziland.
  • Pray for anointing, revelation, wisdom, knowledge and insight into God's Word and the ability to share that with others .... so it changes their lives.
  • Pray for continued health, and protection both physically and spiritually.
  • Lastly, pray for the Harvest! The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few ..... pray that we can equip and send out more workers into the Harvest field!
Love,
Randy and Karen
