Cordovans are asked to give their behaviors a second thought after the announcement of 12 active COVID-19 cases in the community. The City Health Alert status is now at Level 3: Watch.

Contact tracing is underway for those identified as positive. The individuals are isolating and close contacts are being advised to get tested and self-quarantine until results are available. The Cordova Medical Response Team will review information gathered during contact tracing and address further concerns as appropriate.

The most recent cases appear to be the effects of behaviors from the previous weekend. All residents and visitors are encouraged to do their part to stop the spread in our community. Cordova has a mandatory mask rule when in public. Please follow additional safety recommendations regarding COVID-19, including gatherings.

  • Do the 3 W’s
    • Wear a mask
    • Watch your distance
    • Wash your hands
  • Avoid the 3 C’s
    • Crowded places
    • Close contact settings
    • Confined/enclosed spaces

  • Residents: must submit an application to receive a CordovaCash card: $500 for each applicant and applicant spouse/partner, $300 for each dependent.
