President's Letter
Greetings Club Members,
Congratulations to all our skaters, coaches, and families participating at Regionals!  We are so proud of your hard work and dedication.  Good luck to Aaron, Nicole, Erin, Paxton, and Zoe as they move on to Sectionals!

Our Halloween social is just seven days away!  Please get your costume and join us on the 29th for a fun skate and treat!  Remember that your Learn to Skate friends are welcome to join us for just $5.  Special thank you to Carissa Carroll and the Bonita Springs Charter School for donating the goody bags!

We are thrilled that so many of our members have signed up to be a part of our Holiday Playlist holiday show!  There has been and will be lots of information to share, so please check your email and Facebook often.  Even if your skater cannot be in our show, we need volunteers and welcome your help - it is going to be a really fun time!  Our show director, Lisa Perri, has already done a tremendous job in planning and preparing!  Club member, Kerry Wood, has reached out to numerous local magazines, newspaper, and media outlets to advertise our show – Thanks Kerry!  Please help us by spreading the word, selling tickets, hanging up show flyers, and reaching out to area businesses to sponsor ads in our program.

Hope to see you all on the 29th and I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween!

~Skate on!

Holiday Show News
The Holiday Show rehearsals are under way, the tickets are being ordered this week, and talk of costumes and props is in the air - it's beginning to look and sound a lot like Christmas! We are so excited to see the show this year; it's going to be awesome!

Download a Holiday Show flyer here and start advertising for us please - put one up on your bulletin board at work, school, church, the library, etc (ask first if you need to!). Keep your eyes on your inbox for the announcement of the tickets being available for sale. We expect them to be printed and ready by the first weekend of November!
Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are the backbone of our club. The only way that we are able to get anything done and move forward is by volunteers putting in the hours. We truly do appreciate your service to our club and our skaters.

You can find opportunities to serve in several ways. Check out our Volunteer Page to see what's coming up!

If you have any questions, please email us at
Cheer Squad
We had some of our home club members recently go to Regionals - Sasha, Sara, and Sophie, as well as associate members Paxton, Zoe, and Grace P.! FEFSC was well represented in Virginia!

Sectionals is coming up November 15th - 20th and we will have our club represented by home club members Aaron and Nicole, as well as associate members Erin, Paxton, and Zoe. We hope you have a great time in Indian Trail, North Carolina - as always skate great, smile, and have fun!
FEFSC CafePress Store
Don't forget to visit our Cafe Press store to find great apparel, gifts, and other items with our logo on it. We've just added another watercolour skater - Grace - to the collection.
We now have the Watercolours, Silhouettes, and Inspirations lines and are trying to add something new at least once a month - be sure to take a look often!

If you ever want a design on something that isn't in the store, contact us - we may be able to get it.  All proceeds come right back to our club - what a great way to spend your money and support our club at the same time!
Video Interviews

Our Media Team Videographer, Emily, will be doing some short video interviews of club members over the next few months. The main question is really a finish the statement - "I like to figure skate because...?" We would like to put a series of these short, but fun videos onto our webpage and social media. And a reminder, Emily will always be wearing a Media badge while taking photos or video for the club.

Do you have a favorite place to buy skating related items? We are working on building a resource page for the website and would like your input. On the survey page, we've included a spot that you can tell us about your favorite places - please do let us know! You can click here on our survey page or email us at

Safe Sport

U.S. Figure Skating and the Florida Everblades Figure Skating Club strive to provide a safe environment for its members, one that is free of abuse and harassment. All of our Board Members will be taking the SafeSport certification program and we encourage all skaters, parents and coaches to follow Safe Sport guidelines.

You can find more information about Safe Sport on our website or on the USFS website. Please contact us with any questions at

Just  a reminder - in light of the recent reports of stranger danger, it is even more important to make sure that each person (child or adult) is aware of their surroundings. Our Media Team will be wearing ID badges during events and any time they are taking pictures for the club.

Parents, please talk to your skaters.Tell them that they can come to any coach, rec employee, or club parent if they feel uncomfortable about any situation. Also tell your skaters to make sure that someone knows where they are if they are not on the Freestyle Ice and have not left for the day. Parents, please remind your skaters to be S.M.A.R.T. (Safety Means Always Recognizing Trouble).

Encourage Doing Great things Everyday!

Our October Edge Award goes to Nicole Gagliardo!

Nicole has been a lifelong skater who recently passed her Senior Moves-in-the-Field test! She also made it to sectionals this year as a home club skater. Nicole is always helping with Learn to Skate and is often found at the rink. She is a good example to our younger skaters of what it looks like to stick to it - keep on keeping on - practice, practice, practice!! Way to go Nicole, we are proud of you and glad to give you the Edge award this month!

Have you seen a skater go above and beyond to help or encourage another person (on or off the ice)? Do they excel in academics or art? Do they have another special talent? We want to hear about anything AWESOME a skater has done!

Please email us at with subject line: Project Edge and the skater's name. Give us a brief description of how the skater has been doing great things.  Skater's will be recognized in the newsletter and in the website news.
Project EDGE is a campaign created by Florida Everblades Figure Skating Club to Encourage Doing Great things Everyday in our skaters!
