Event Report
Welcome Back Cocktail 2016
On Friday 30 September we had our yearly Welcome Back Cocktail. This year we celebrated with over 80 Members, Friends and Sponsors at APS Lifestyle Gallery, a very unique location close to Robertson Quay.
After the kind words from Swiss Ambassador Mr. Thomas Kupfer we were treated to a tasteful and delicious dinner prepared by private chef Matteo Pertoldi from ATIPICO. The menu included several Italian dishes prepared live at APS's different show cooking stations.
After the main course we proceeded to the Lucky Draw and announced the lucky winners of different dining vouchers at the Montreux Jazz Café Singapore, The Swissotel Stamford, the Fairmont and Wine Universe. Furthermore there were two gift sets from Hauté Swiss Cosmetics, champagne, wine and a SAS membership for 2017 to win.
We enjoyed spending a beautiful evening with our Members and Friends.
I would like to thank our very generous sponsors for the great collaboration and the ongoing support. A special thank you goes to Globaleye our main sponsor for this evening. Without such contributions events like this would not be possible.
Janine Bachmann, October 2016

5 minutes with… Jeremy Grey
What is Singapore to you?
Singapore has been my home for the past five and a half years, the longest summer holiday I have ever been on.
What is your "best kept secret" about Singapore?
If I told you, it would not be a secret anymore.
What would be your main argument to convince someone to come to Singapore?
Interestingly, most people do not need convincing as they have already heard of Singapore and would love to come, but of course it would be a mix of the incredible social and work dynamics, the similarities with Switzerland (organised and safe), the great weather, and the amazing travel opportunities.
Which is your favourite place in Singapore?
Sentosa Cove, my personal piece of paradise.
Would you mind sharing your favourite holiday destination in Asia?
Phuket
Please tell us more about you?
Originally British by descent, I was born and bred in Geneva where I spent most of my life although I have also lived on four different continents. I am a licensed financial adviser and regional manager of Globaleye, a company specialised in advising expatriates and international clients with all things financial, i.e. insurance, savings and pensions, investments and estate planning. My core area of expertise lies within knowing the intricacies and the difficulties of the different nationalities I work with very well. As you can imagine, Swiss nationals are my speciality.
Last but not least, what is your life motto?
Dedicated to a sweet friend of mine who recently passed away at a very young age: “Life is such a gift, make the most of it and never forget that every single moment counts.”
Thank you very much Jermey, for taking the time!
