Hello <<First Name>>,
I welcome you to my newsletter! It has been a busy year and I am a long while in pulling the news together. I wish you a magnificent autumn at the steady, controlled and mellow end of the leash (of a happy dog).

I am delighted to be the official artist of the National Dog Show! Wow! The whole experience, working with the Carson International people, has been wonderful. The official poster will be unveiled at the 2015 show on Saturday, November 14th. In the meanwhile, as an artist who felt super-inspired by the epic 2014 National Dog Show, I decided to paint a graphic-novel style piece depicting the show from the furry and feathered point of view of an esteemed dog and a great bird.
NBC and Carson International, Inc. own the copyright to this art but graciously allow me to share it with you, my dog loving friends, as I invite you to come see us at the show! I will be signing two posters - both the (drum roll) dignified and beautiful official National Dog Show poster (to be unveiled...mum's the word till then) as well as my Dog-and-Bird Thanksgiving "Operation National Dog Show" poster (shown above).
The show will be great! I look forward to sharing stories of our best beloved canine companions. The stories stay with us all. I hope you come to Philadelphia for an exciting day of heroic tales and beautiful dogs.

Every Mother's Day weekend, I am glued to THE PLAYERS Golf Championship on television. This year, I was delighted to see Rickie Fowler come from behind in a heart stopping, edge-of-seat end game. Fowler ended his game with four birdies and an eagle in his last six holes. Wow, Rickie! THE PLAYERS Championship definitely was the most exciting weekend of golf in the 2015 season. I am always honored to paint THE PLAYERS champion. Though I secretly wished that Rickie still decked himself, head-to-toe, in orange (for the sake of "bright" art), I loved drawing him. Golfers have incredible stamina, discipline, and steely control - these aspects counterpoint to their Clark Kent gracious manners. One might just be watching super heroes...
I was deeply saddened by the death of Calvin Peete, fellow Detroiter who performed so spectacularly on the PGA Tour. Calvin Peete was THE PLAYERS champion in 1985. I was honored that NBC focused their TV camera on my painting of Peete, set next to his locker full of white roses, as they beautifully memorialized him. Peete was one of the Greats.

In February, I was back at the Westminster Dog Show signing my posters that sold out in a day, which was a thrill. I was busy! I love to talk with dog people. A highlight of 2015 Westminster was meeting Odin, best of breed of the Bernese Mountain Dogs, along with his owners, who live close to my family in Michigan. Some meetings are meant to be.
