This last week...

Thankyou all so much for your kind messages this week. I am only just starting to feel more myself after coming down with Covid-19 last weekend. Similar to many others, I have found that what the virus has now become is much less scary than it was at the start of the pandemic. As someone described as being "clinically extremely vulnerable" I have, as you know, done my best to protect wherever possible. However, I think that I contracted the virus from someone at Foodbank the week before last and that meant I spent most of the Easter weekend in bed!! I was watching the service live, though, on the YouTube live-stream and it was lovely to be able to share in celebrating Resurrection Sunday with you online, if not onsite.

This Sunday...

I was so touched last week by the fact that my amazing family were willing to take my scribbled notes and lead the service in my absence...and this week I have again been really blessed - this time by Pam, who has made all the arrangements for this Sunday's service.

Although I am starting to feel much better (and have even made a few phone calls today), I will not be at church on Sunday as I will wait until I can be absolutely certain I'm "Covid negative". But there will be a church service on Sunday, at 10.15am as usual. Lighthouse and Youthscape will be running, and Nigel, Tim and Noah will be leading a mixture of songs and choruses. We'll share in some songs of praise as we hear and think about the experience of the disciples who encountered the risen Jesus on the road to Emmaus.

Please come ready to give and contribute, as much as to take and receive. I will, again, be watching online as you gather onsite.
