Church Members AGM...

If you are in formal membership at CBC, please remember that we have a meeting TONIGHT…our AGM at 7pm followed by an “ordinary” meeting afterwards. Please do attend both these meeting if at all possible. It doesn’t matter if you have to arrive a bit late, or if you have to leave a bit early – it would still be so valuable if you came for some of it, rather than none of it! - THANKYOU

Sunday...

This Sunday morning will be the first Sunday of the month – so I’ll be leaving space within the service for people to come forward to “share your story”. Perhaps you have a verse/passage that God has laid on your heart recently, perhaps a hymn whose words have ministered to you recently (you can just read the lyrics if you like, rather than having to sing a solo!), or maybe you would like to share (in a few short sentences), what it is that made you decide to follow Jesus.

This Sunday I want to speak about something that’s becoming an increasingly contested issue within many UK churches – the issue of sex, sexuality and sexual identity. COVID-19...

You may be aware that we have recently had a number of people from the congregation test positive for Covid. Let’s uphold one-another in prayer. Let’s also, please, be wise…don’t come to church onsite (instead watch online) if you suspect that you may have Covid yourself. Please take a LFD test prior to coming. If in doubt, these are guidelines that our sons’ school (CTK) recently circulated to parents;

If you develop symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), you should get a PCR test (https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test or call 119) and remain at home at least until the result is known and you are fever free (without medication) for at least 24 hours.

• If negative, you can end self-isolation and return to usual work/community/school activities.
• If positive, then you should isolate as a positive case (see below)

People who test positive for COVID-19 should self-isolate at home until they are well enough to return, no longer have a temperature and either:

1. Ten full days have passed, or
2. They have produced two negative LFD tests on consecutive days, with the first taken no earlier than day five.
