New Recycling Drop-Off Kit Now Available!

Anti-Contamination Drop-off Kit is now available!

Check out our Drop-off Kit V2 for a step-by-step guide on kick-starting improved recycling at your drop-off locations. Included in the kit are resources for assessing readiness, preparing and creating communications, tracking results and more!
Even better, the kit has already been proven to reduce contamination at drop-off sites in Massachusetts.  Whether you have all drop-off locations for recycling or use them to supplement a curbside program, this kit can help you fight contamination.

Plastic Bags, Wrap and Film - Oh My!

Plastic film is increasingly showing up in our recycling stream and is impossible to avoid. It’s being hailed as the top contaminant for recycling programs across the country, and costing MRFs time, money and energy to cut out of their machines. So how should we educate residents about these hard to recycle plastics? When plastic bags are taken back to the store for recycling, where do they go? And, does anyone actually do this?
Tune in to our July webinar on July 24 at Noon (ET) to:
  • Discuss how to communicate to your residents about plastic film
  • Get the scoop on the current status and emerging trends related to film and flexible packaging
  • Hear about The Partnership’s new Film and Flexibles Task Force, and what it means for your program

MMP State Grant Recipient Announced

Do you know who understands the need for strong community program metrics?
The State of Connecticut, that’s who! The Recycling Partnership is pleased to announce the award of its first-ever state Municipal Measurement Program (MMP) implementation grant to the Nutmeg State.
This grant covers all costs to use MMP for recycling reporting and tracking for all municipalities statewide for the first year. Get ready Connecticut, it’s time to start tracking program performance and using powerful analytics to measure success!
If your state is interested in using this handy tool, good news! The Recycling Partnership is keeping its state MMP grant program open until the end of 2019.
For more information on this opportunity, contact Liz Bedard at ebedard@recyclingpartnership.org
MMP is a joint collaboration between The Recycling Partnership and Emerge Technologies. If you are an individual municipality, you can measure your municipal curbside and drop-off programs for FREE with MMP!

Celebrating Transforming Recycling in America

Our 2019 Impact Report shows how we’ve worked with you, our community partners, to keep 160 million pounds  of recyclables out of landfills, reduce 170,00 metric tons of greenhouse gases and place 445,000 new recycling carts across America in just four short years. That’s something to celebrate! As our offices close in honor of Independence Day, we’re grateful to work together to transform recycling in the U.S.

Happy 4th of July!
