ADA North East works with a Sports Nutrition Advisory Panel (SNAP) of 11 certified sports nutrition experts and registered dietitians that supports dairy’s role in helping improve athletic performance. Recently, dairy advocate and ADA North East consultant Heather Mangieri, RDN, CSSD, shared a health segment on refueling young athletes with chocolate milk and other dairy products. The clip aired twice on WCBS in New York City during peak news hours. The one-minute segment accounted for nearly 700,000 media impressions.

SNAP members create high school athletic association newsletter content to reach more than 15,000 high school coaches and athletic directors each month. 

In addition, ADA North East sponsors Refuel with Chocolate Milk messaging at high school championships. In 2019, ADA North East sponsored 120 high school state championships and community athletic events region-wide where 36,610 athletes refueled with chocolate milk
125,000 Consumers Encouraged to Use More Dairy through "Savor" Recipe Website
ADA North East launched a new strategy with an innovative take on promoting dairy recipes. Savor Recipes was designed to connect with consumers – people who love to cook or bake – and are looking for meal solutions and recipe inspiration. Featuring hundreds of recipes, cooking and baking videos, and two digital cookbooks, all recipes contain dairy – central to our goal of selling more dairy foods. One of the features of the site is the shopping cart – where consumers can create a shopping list based on brands available in the specific store they shop. Options to place grocery orders via e-commerce are offered on the website as well. Only dairy brands – no imitations or substitutions – will come up as options.

Since Savor's launch it has garnered in excess of 11 million social media impressions and more than 125,000 website visits.

Tips for Minimizing Damage of Animal Activist Videos 
In the past year, animal activists released 104 anti-agriculture videos, including 22 that specifically targeted the dairy industry. DMI’s Tricia Sheehan highlights the help available through dairy checkoff if your farm is targeted, as well as how to help minimize the damage when videos appear on social media and in the news.
