Dairy Farmer, Local Law Enforcement Join Forces to Distribute Milk to Families in Need
Thursday, dairy farmer David Fisher of Mapleview Dairy in Madrid, N.Y., joined more than 40 local law enforcement officers from New York’s North Country to distribute 2,100 gallons of milk purchased from Dairy Farmers of America with government-funded grants through the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP).

“These milk drives are important because we need to take care of the people in our communities, and we are also able to move product since the dairy supply chain is well-stocked right now,” said Fisher. “Our North Country law enforcement is very well-respected in our communities and are similar to dairy farmers in many ways – they work 24/7 to take care of the communities and we work 24/7 to take care of our cows.”
