Dairy Checkoff is Changing the Milkfat Conversation
Dairy checkoff-funded research is changing the dialog about the benefits of milkfat, according to Dr. Greg Miller at National Dairy Council. The research will prove to be one of many important resources considered by the committee that will be recommending the 2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. These guidelines determine whether whole milk can be sold in schools.

Dairy checkoff’s national foodservice partnerships with Domino’s®, McDonald’s®, Pizza Hut® and Taco Bell™ that have resulted in additional sales of nearly 1.2 billion pounds milk equivalent. Now their competition is taking notice.

Reinventing the Retail Dairy Case Leads to Increased Sales 
ADA North East’s 2019 Dairy Aisle Reinvention program is helping to drive dairy sales in retail stores throughout the region. Year-to-date, we have placed new signage to feature real dairy items in 235 stores and farm-to-table signs featuring local dairy farmers in 237 stores. Retailers typically see a 7 to 10 percent increase in sales following a new installation of signage and displays.

Ag Progress Days Luncheon Set, Features Checkoff Update  
Dairy farmers and industry partners are reminded to attend the annual dairy checkoff luncheon next week at Ag Progress Days on Thursday, Aug. 15, at noon. Lunch will feature Domino’s® pizza and a checkoff update from Pennsylvania dairy farmer and ADA North East board member Doug Harbach, Loganton, Pa.
