Dairy farmers are pointing shoppers to their favorite dairy products at the Pittsburgh suburb, Lower Burrell, Pa., Community Supermarket with a new Dairy Aisle Reinvention “makeover.” ADA North East recently installed new signage identifying the dairy products in each case so customers can easily find what they are looking for, a tactic that retailers say helps drive dairy sales.
In addition to customized product signage, the Dairy Aisle Reinvention Program merchandising techniques include featuring local families to help the customers make the connection to where the milk comes from; providing nutrition information; and offering product use ideas.
