More than 157 million pounds of butter were produced in the United States in October 2019 with ADA North East states ranking among the highest in the nation in production. Americans’ annual per capita consumption is 5.8 pounds of butter! 
Dairy Events Kick Off the 104th Pennsylvania Farm Show 
Butter Sculpture Features Dairy Tailgate with Sports Teams Across the State 
The annual butter sculpture, featuring Philadelphia and Pittsburgh sports team mascots, was unveiled Thursday with help from dairy farmers and ADA North East board members, Marie Canon from West Middlesex, Mercer County, in western Pennsylvania, and Tim Kurtz from Elverson, Berks County, in eastern Pennsylvania.

2020 Fill a Glass with Hope® Campaign Raises Record-Setting $162,500 in Donations 
Today, $162,500 was donated to the 2020 Fill a Glass with Hope® campaign that gets milk to local food banks. Chester County dairy farmer Duane Hershey from Cochranville joined Pennsylvania First Lady Frances Wolf, Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, former NFL player Jason Brown and other guests to launch this year’s campaign.

Dairy Can Help Fight Climate Change
Animal science professor and air quality expert Dr. Frank Mitloehner from University of California-Davis, explains how dairy can be part of climate solutions by understanding the role it plays in greenhouse gas emissions.
