As part of ADA North East’s effort to help farmers strengthen relationships and bolster understanding of the dairy industry within the environmental community, we recently participated in the Maryland Association for Environmental & Outdoor Education (MAEOE) conference. Our presentation with information about dairy farmers drew 25 viewers.

Four dairy farmers from the ADA North East board of directors are also represented on the national dairy checkoff boards for Dairy Management Inc. (DMI), National Dairy Promotion and Research Board (NDB), National Dairy Council (NDC), and United Dairy Industry Association (UDIA). They are:  

Applications are being accepted for college scholarships that are awarded by America’s dairy farmers through the National Dairy Promotion and Research Board. Eleven $2,500 scholarships will be given, in addition to the $3,500 James H. Loper, Jr. Memorial Scholarship.
