GET ONLINE WEEK
The Good Things Foundation is a social change charity, helping people to improve their lives through digital technology. Tackling the most pressing social issues of our time, working with partners in thousands of communities across the UK, Australia and further afield. This week they're celebrating Get Online week with The Great Quiz.
We have seen here at CRCC how profound the impact of digital skills can be for those who are new to technology. We have helped many connect to zoom classes with us for language, art, craft, community support groups and even song writing sessions. We've marveled in their ability to learn and adapt to the new way of connecting.
Here's an original CRCC class song written by the group in just a couple of hours. Keep in mind these students had never before written a song.
Participants remarked at the thrill of the experience and were so proud of what they managed to produce, one of whom had never before had any form of technology at home and while at first was reluctant, they are overjoyed they took the leap. Have a listen and we hope you feel inspired to get online and try something new too.
