"Keep Calm...actually no, GET EXCITED"

Hello Everyone
We have some exciting news for you...
We were successful in receiving a $50,000 Lets Stay Connected grant from the Government to support YOU, our community!

The money will be spent providing low and no cost programs to the community, to reduce social isolation, and improve connectedness within the community.

Social isolation deprives us all of our basic and fundamental need to connect with others and feel like part of a community. Humans also crave discovery. While the routines around isolating at home during COVID can provide comfort; without discovery, the lack of input while staying safe at home can lead to a feeling of disillusionment. This can lead a shift in your overall way of thinking to a "Fixed Mindset" and a reversion to a "survival mode" of living. The aim of our project is to nurture a growth mindset in our community during COVID, to provide affordable or free learning and engagement offering the means for our community to do more than just endure.

With restrictions causing a multitude of barriers, our program takes a holistic and dynamic approach designed to reach and support some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

This will include;
- The expansion of our Keeping Connected Support Group
- Free device loan program
- New device support services for ESL
- Wellness programs including a free intro to the wonderful Wayapa Wuurrk Indigenous Earth, Mind, Body Spirit modality
- Sustainability Programs
and much more!

We are thrilled to have the Governments support to continue to provide much needed services to the community.

Our First Sustainability program will be held
Saturday November 28th
2:00pm - 3:00pm

Today is an important day, for two reasons...

Friday the 20th of November, is World Children's Day and Ausmusic Tshirt Day.

To celebrate World Children's day, we encourage you take one small action today, to help make one big change for Aussie kids in the future.
Did you know, almost 600 children aged 10yrs to 13yrs are imprisoned, every year! Here in Victoria, that's kids as young as grade 4...behind bars!!
Sign a letter to your local member of parliament and petition with us, to 'Raise The Age' to 14yrs, a world median.
Visit the website below to read some of the preventative actions proposed instead of sending our youth to prison.
The email you can send with the link below will take less than 60 seconds and can have a big impact. Lets fill those inboxes, demand change, and support our young, vulnerable kids.

Do you love Australian music? And do you care about the people who create it? Then be a part of #AusmusicTShirtDay!
Ausmusic T-Shirt Day is a massive nation-wide celebration of Australian music that reminds us how lucky we are to have such a strong local music scene, with many highly talented and successful artists across all genres of music.
But as we all know, this year has been a COVID-19 driven wipeout, with all tours and festivals cancelled; venues closed and careers put on hold.
So it is important this year more then ever, to get around the artists you love, buy their merch, share their music and follow them on social media.
Today we want to see as many people wearing Australian Music merchandise as possible! Be sure to send us photos and spread the word
Tag your favourite artists below, or better yet, if you are an artist with merchandise, put a link in the comments below for people to support you!
You can also donate to Support Act by clicking here.

Stay tuned, our brochure for Term 1, 2021 will be out soon! Face to face classes resuming, new workshops and so much more to look forward to! We can't wait to share it with you!

This seniors group has formed more than just deep friendships, they meaningfully contribute to their community. To read more, here's the link to the  AGM REPORT
