“Keep Calm and Reflect"

Weekly E-Newsletter

Hello to all our students at CRCC. This week we are taking a trip down memory lane. The following images, and more, can be found at https://victoriancollections.net.au/ - simply use the search bar to find what you are looking for!

Below is an image taken in 1925, of the Bedford Road railway line crossing.

This is Ringwood Lake, the date of the image is unknown.
Opening Ringwood Youth Club by Hon. A.G. Rylah in 1959.
We now call this space our Community Hall. It is used to host weddings, birthdays, conferences, weekly meetings, dance competitions and more!

Do you love to visit the Museum? Art Gallery? Maybe the state Library?
Many museums here in Australia and around the world have virtual tours, allowing you to enjoy them from the comfort of your own home. What better time to explore these places than right now.

Have you turned to puzzles to cure your boredom during isolation? I know I have!
Lately it has been challenging to buy puzzles due to high demand - why not turn to www.jigsawplanet.com for free online puzzles! Choose a puzzle that is right for you, with varying difficulties and so many beautiful images on offer, you won't be bored!
If going online isnt your thing, reach out to neighbours and friends and organise a puzzle swap!

New additions in the garden.

These beautiful boxes were built as part of the Visual Arts Woodwork program through The Basin Community House where offenders performing unpaid community work made these and donated to them to Garden. 🌻 We are so grateful. A lot of care was taken and they've turned out so beautifully. We'll be sure to put them to good use!

Thank You also to Maroondah City Council for installing these.

For now, one will have cleaning products for the homeless in need. We invite you all to contribute to this and help these vulnerable people stay safe from Corona Virus. The second one will have produce and seeds from the garden and anyone else who'd like to contribute.

Eventually these will become our permenant seed library. The concept is that you take some seeds. You grow your plants, collect its seeds, some you'll keep and some you'll return. Anyone is welcome to add to this too to help support our community of growers.
