Circular Food Innovation Lab could help your food business cut waste and costs

Are you a food distributor, processor, restaurant, grocer or other food business with operations in Vancouver? Are you interested in tackling food waste to increase profits and working with fellow food businesses tackling similar challenges?

If so, we invite you to participate in this circular economy initiative led by the City of Vancouver in partnership with Emily Carr University of Art + Design, the Vancouver Economic Commission, and Mitacs.

The Circular Food Innovation Lab can help participating businesses:

  • Access free expertise, tools, and services to reduce food waste while increasing profits and exploring ways to risk-proof your business
  • Inform future policies to reduce food waste along local supply chains
  • Help develop innovative food waste solutions that show industry leadership
  • Contribute to the formation of an industry-led task force in Vancouver
  • And more!

The Circular Food Innovation Lab begins April 27, 2022, and is expected to wrap by January 2023. If you need more time to think about it, we take applications on a rolling basis after the program’s start date.
