Cash App’s user base is strongest in the South and the Midwest of the US, which aligns with the regions where many hip-hop fans are at. It’s the opposite of most founders who focus first on their 'early adopter' personal networks in the coastal metro hubs in New York and San Francisco.

Cash App’s monthly active users have grown from 7 million in 2017, 15 million in 2018, to 24 million in 2019. It still trails Venmo in users, but Cash App is growing faster."

is Peloton the best-paying music streaming service?

At this point, I consider Peloton a media company, and it turns out that they pay the highest amount of artist royalties for every song played. According to the "Streaming Price Bible" by Trichordist, Peloton's pay rate per stream in 2019 was 3.1 cents which blows Spotify (0.35 cents) and Apple Music (0.68 cents) out of the water.

SoundCloud and 7digital are now being factored into major Billboard charts

Billboard's "industry and chart streaming activity" will now include plays originating from audio distribution and music sharing platform SoundCloud and 7digital, a B2B music technology service. The changes were put into place as of July 23 and charts published on August 7 will include this updated DSP data. 

Word on the street is user streams from Audiomack, the on-demand music streaming and discovery platform, will also be in the mix.
