Spotify has stepped into the virtual concert arena
Tickets cost $15 and attendees must have a Spotify account. Shows are prerecorded and can only be viewed at certain times via web browser.
Marketing takeaway: Very interesting that Spotify is doing this when concerts are beginning to make their way back to the IRL stage (peep what Sofar Sounds announced). This is an indicator that Spotify believes concerts will stay in a hybrid model. What will your hybrid approach look like and how will you market virtual shows differently from your live shows?
