As you know we're at Level 4 of New Zealand’s COVID-19 alert system. It’s important that you and your whānau stay home (except those providing essential services) and only make physical contact with those that you live with. Keep up to date with the latest information from the New Zealand Government. Be kind. Stay home. Save lives.
It's in our nature to play!
Our Nature Play challenge sheets have been popular with children and adults of all ages. Get the whole whānau involved in this mindful activity in your backyard or around your local area. If you can’t get out and about in nature locally, try bringing some nature inside. Download and print off our Challenge Sheet and remember to share your experience with others.

Check out your local park or reserve
Getting outdoors is essential for our physical and mental wellbeing. You can get out and about for exercise, as long as you stay in your local area and keep a two-metre distance from others, avoid touching hard surfaces and remember to wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds once home. Also if you are feeling unwell, please stay home. For more information about walks and reserves near you, find out more here
Calling all young women
The Conversation Collective is a series by The Shift Foundation, co-hosted and created by young women in Wellington. Every fortnight they invite guests to have a conversation on the topics that surround the wellbeing of young women. You can expect to hear about education, physical activity, identity, social media and role models, as well as personal insights from co-hosts and their guests. For more information
How to stay active during lockdown
During the lockdown many of us will find that staying active and continuing training will be harder than normal, but not impossible. If you can’t get out and about locally, you can use the space in your home to stay active. Sport Wellington has put together some opportunities and tips for how to keep active at home. We're going on a bear hunt
Have you seen an increase in furry faces around your neighbourhood? ‘We’re Not Scared - Bear Hunt’ is a nationwide movement to bring fun and joy to kiwi kids. Take the kids on a bear hunt during your next neighbourhood walk and see how many you can count. Don’t forget to join the movement and put a bear in your window for everyone to see!
