The National Anzac Day Service will take place at 11am at Pukeahu National War Memorial, and there will be a Wreath Laying Service at 2.30pm at Ataturk Memorial.

Central Library design principles agreed
Wellington City Council has adopted four principles that will guide the design for modernising the Central Library building within the remediation plans. This includes extending the floor space and integrating Capital E, our City Archives and City Service Centre into the library, making it an inclusive and more accessible building than before. Find more of the details in this story.
Be sure to have your say!
Over the next few weeks, we'll be out in the community talking about the 10-Year Plan. Come along and chat to the experts, ask your burning questions and have your say on the future of our city. To find a pop-up event near you, visit our Facebook events calendar or check out the full schedule at our Let's Talk website.
Small vehicle parking trial
A trial of the white triangle road marking in Wellington has just begun, providing parking spaces for smaller vehicles and motorbikes in residential streets. The first white triangle road markings have been introduced on Holloway Road in Aro Valley and Hadfield Terrace in Kelburn. If the trial goes well, more will be painted in different Wellington suburbs. More info is in this story and on our projects webpage.
Load it right, cover it tight!
Just a friendly reminder to always remember to pack your load securely if you’re taking rubbish to the Southern Landfill. Use a net, and tie down with straps or ropes, if needed. This ensures we protect our environment and you avoid a $200 fine. Recently a driver not securing their load resulted in thousands of polystyrene balls scattered around the south coast. More info about dropping off waste is on our bylaws webpage.
Helping small businesses reduce emissions
The Sustainable Business Network has created a new handy tool to help smaller businesses reduce their carbon emissions. It's called the Climate Action Toolbox, and it’s free! Check out the Climate Action Toolbox website for more information.
