Mercantile Center
JANUARY NEWSLETTER

We hope that you and those close to you have had a rewarding year, and that 2018 wrapped up on a high note for all!

Now, it's January - that time when many of us reassess our busy lives and think about what we want to accomplish or do during the next year. With that in mind, we at Mercantile Center plan to continue providing enjoyment for our tenants and friends of downtown Worcester, with events and accomplishments bigger and better than ever.

Stay tuned as we take a quick look back at the final weeks of 2018!

A frigid December fell upon us, but you all knew where to look!

Mercantile Center started the Holidays off right by providing tenants a 'Build-Your-Own' Hot Chocolate Bar.

Those in attendance enjoyed a live performance from the Hanover Theater Holiday Carolers, and many competed in an Ugly Sweater Contest for a chance to win some awesome prizes.

Tenants of Mercantile Center always know how to BRING IT whenever there is an opportunity for some fun, high-spirited competition. We have seen many of our tenants participate in costume contests over the seasons, taking the opportunity by storm when showing off their creative sides.

It's safe to say this wasn't their first Ugly Sweater Contest, and this cheery bunch definitely did not disappoint!

A special shoutout to...

Property Owner and Host,
Chip Norton

TENANT NEWS & EVENTS

NEW ENTER-TO-WIN CONTEST ANNOUNCED!
Mercantile Center tenants who receive these monthly Newsletters are officially eligible to win four tickets to a single Worcester Railers home game!

How?, you ask.
In the middle of each month, continuing January through April 2019, we will draw names at random from our Newsletter recipient list. Tickets awarded will be for games scheduled during the following month. The number of names drawn will be determined by the number of home games scheduled for the following month.

An email will be sent to each winner stating which game they won tickets to, and instructions on how to claim. Once a winner is chosen, they will be marked ineligible to win again.

A big congratulations to our first group of Winners, chosen in December for the January home games! We hope you all enjoy your January Railers Game!

Did You Know....

Worcester’s geography is quite varied and is sometimes called the “City of Seven Hills.”  The seven distinct areas are:

Pakachoag – where the largest population of Nipmuck Indians once lived

Union Hill– the second oldest settlement in Worcester

Hancock Hill – an area once owned by John Hancock

Chandler Hill – site of the city’s first reservoir and the oldest Armenian Church in the United States

Green Hill – ancestral home of the Green family since 1755, now a city park

Bancroft Hill – which is named for the well-known historian, George Bancroft

Newton Hill – a large farmland that was purchased by the city to make into a public park

Remember, January is...

For one month each year the world celebrates International Creativity Month - a month to remind individuals and organizations around the globe to capitalize on the power of creativity.

Unleashing creativity is vital for the personal and business success in this age of accelerating change.

January, the first month of the year, provides an opportunity to take a fresh approach to problem-solving and renew confidence in our creative capabilities.

We wish you and your family a Happy and Healthy New Year, and the best of luck in 2019!
