PLEASE remember to WEAR YOUR MASK and maintain a 6 FOOT SOCIAL DISTANCE from anyone not in your immediate family or pod.  We need everyone to adhere to these guidelines to provide a safe space to gather.

Looking Back

 | January 11-19 |
Looking Back 1/19/2021

We had an extended weekend because of MLK day on Monday and the weather  totally cooperated with 70% days and cloudless skies. We started our  weekend on Friday with Sara having a ladies coffee time at 11a, and then  in the evening Charlie led an open mic.  If you have never participated, iit is so much fun, tell a bad joke or even a good one, sing a song, play  an instrument or just tell a funny story about something you heard a long time ago or recently. We thank Charlie for leading these evenings with songs and music. On Saturday morning at 11am Dylan led his Vinyasa  Yoga and at 3pm the Book Club had a zoom meeting.  On Sunday Michael led Qigong at 1pm on the waterfall lawn and Monday, (MLK Day) though no  events were scheduled the hot tub was open for appointments as was the  restaurant for chicken and waffles and a funk set by Dylan.

To all of you, stay healthy, stay safe with masks and 6 feet of social  distancing. Though we have a vaccine, until at least 60% of the  population is vaccinated the virus is still with us. Keep safely  connected to loved ones, let your eyes smile at those in the front line  of grocery stores, pharmacies and any opened businesses etc. and give  them all a hearty thank you.

Happy Birthday, Martin V and Mary M.

And So It Was,

Hospitality Notes, January 2021

It is a new year and though we are only a few days into it nothing much  has changed at least not dramatically.  We still are dealing with a  frightful virus and cock eyed politics, a masked populace, and severe unemployment.  But here at Lupin we have the opportunity to learn from all the lessons we encountered in 2020 and do our best to navigate 2021 with greater ease.  I am always aware that if I want things to change I have to change. Changing ones habits and perceptions and letting go of assumptions is not easy but if one is willing it is possible and what a  difference it makes. “A little willingness goes a long way”.  So, if one is going to make a New Years resolution it is wise to be aware of the places that stand in the way of getting or doing what we want to make our lives better or more manageable. Am I or you willing to let go of them?   When I am clear about my intention, (my personal mission statement) and keep it front and center in my consciousness it becomes easier. I can go to it and ask am I on track, what is keeping me off track, am I willing to let go of the things that keep me from feeling nurtured, safe, clean and healthy?  Let’s say yes and see if we can hold the space for each of us to indeed have a HAPPY NEW YEAR. Until next month, remember hospitality is not just a business,
