Improving Our Facilities
Over the last few months Michelle Hampton (Building Maintenance Co-ordinator) has been working hard with various tradies, ascertaining what needs fixing and at what cost in order to maintain our building. We are still working on a few funding ideas for some 'dream' ideas but in the meantime we are making progress - you will probably have noticed our new disabled access entrance ramp.  Regulations require the installation of a handrail and we are currently gathering final quotes for this.  Our plan is to have a removable section to enable items to be dispatched out the front door 'as and when' required.
Have you spotted...
...the stunning decal we have on the Town Hall? This should pull in some more audience....and on that note - we have ALREADY sold over 1200 tickets for Sound Of Music! Its going to be a sell out so make sure your family and friends are booked in - don't leave it to the last minute or you may miss out!
Rehearsals for The Sound of Music are in full swing.  All the hard work that is being put in is really beginning to show.  The set is looking amazing and costume progress reports indicate that, once again, the cast is going to look The Best!!!  So many people have already put so much into making The Sound of Music come alive late NEXT MONTH!!!!!
Request for crew for packin/show/packout - any volunteers that can assist at all can email for more information.
Wanted - Signage erection person!  Trade person preferred. Needs ute and/or trailer.  For our extra large signs 2.4 x 1.2m (2) and 1.8 x 1.2m (3).

COMPANY, by Stephen Sondheim and George Furth, is a musical comedy told in a series of vignettes. Central character Bobby is turning 35 years old and his coupled friends shed some light on married, engaged, and divorced life. Bobby has three girlfriends, but is he really ready for marriage?
Directed by Fiona Bennetts, Musically Directed by Diane Coad, and Choreographed by Colette Inkster, this eight-show season is set in 1970s New York and is wildly funny.
Auditions are coming up in July 2017. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a small cast singing some of Sondheim's greatest songs. The committee is also taking expressions of interest to fill Production Team roles. Check out the fantastic poster created by Maria Kendall and Barbi Larkins!
Photo Shoot Success
An NCMS photo shoot has never been so popular!  The photo shoot held at  the Christchurch Botanical Gardens for The Sound of Music on Saturday, drew a huge crowd of tourist who were very quick to pick up this was about  "The Sound of Music' as soon as they saw "curtain material" costumes.  Tourists were very keen to get their photographs taken with them and the children really enjoyed talking about their role in the performance.  A great day for the children - it is starting to get real.  Tickets selling fast - over 1200 tickets already sold. 45 days til opening night.  Book today at
