Fall 2015 Blog Series Goes Live Tomorrow!

Parenting teens can be challenging! Our mission at Los Gatos Teen Therapy is to give you the tools and information you need to smooth the road.

In 2014 we hosted our first blog series, titled 31 Days To A Better Life With Your Teen. It was such an overwhelming success that it inspired us to host a new blog series each fall!

This year’s series, How To Build A Better Life With Your Teen, launches tomorrow,
October 2. It will provide valuable tips and strategies on behavior management and boundary setting, health and nutrition, depression and anxiety, self-image, creating positive communication, mindfulness, improving family wellness and engagement, and many more topics.

We have enlisted over 20 teen and family experts to share perspectives and help guide parents through these tumultuous adolescent years. Along with a wide range of community therapists and school counselors, this year’s contributors include Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Captain Michael D’Antonio, family law attorneys Eva Martelle and Heather Allan, Los Gatos United Methodist Church Associate Pastor Anthony Fatta, educational consultant Alicia Goldman, and nutritionist Casey Keane-Miller.

You can read more about the blog series and authors in this recent Los Gatos Weekly Times article.

When you sign up for the blog series, you will receive a blog post via email on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays throughout October and November.

We encourage you to sign up today!

Our goal for this blog series is to provide you with information that will lead to happier and healthier teens and families. Whether you learn new information, gain new awareness, or are reminded of things you may have heard before but haven’t yet implemented, we hope you will find this series very supportive.

If you have any questions or feedback along the way, please feel free to reach out to us at information@losgatosteentherapy.com or 408.389.3538.

It is important to us that each newsletter we send provides valuable content. Today we are focusing on tomorrow's launch of our 2015 blog series, but in the meantime we want to put last year's blog series at your fingertips. Maybe you missed some articles, or maybe you could use a refresher. We hope these tips are useful!

Recommended newly published book:

Overloaded and Underprepared: Strategies for Stronger Schools and Healthy, Successful Kids
by Denise Pope, Maureen Brown, and Sarah Miles, creators of the ChallengeSuccess program

With all the worry about student stress and academic engagement, Pope, Brown, and Miles gently remind us that there is much we already know about how to create better schools and healthier kids. Citing evidence-based best practices gleaned from years of work with schools across the country, they show us what is not working, but more importantly, what we need to do to fix things.
