Stand Like Stone Partnership
On Friday the 5th of August, Women in Business & Regional Development held their 2016 Gala Dinner at the Commodore on the Park. In her Chairman’s address, Chairman of WIBRD, Di Ind, focussed her speech on the importance of collaboration and supporting each other in the community and in business which in turn helps to build a stronger economy.
This was reflected when Bill DeGaris, Chairman for the Stand like Stone Foundation was welcomed to the stage to receive a cheque on behalf of Stand like Stone from Women in Business & Regional Development for $1473.00.
WIBRD have been raising money at their Empowering Women in Business breakfasts for the past 12 months, with the money raised by WIBRD going towards the Stand Like Stone’s SARWG Scholarship Fund, which is a Sub Fund established via a donation from the Mt Gambier SA Rural Women’s Gathering and is supported by Women in Business and Regional Development. The SARWG scholarship was first offered in 2015 and provides scholarships to benefit rural women identifying with the Limestone Coast in the pursuit of their educational goals. The SARWG sub fund has given 2 scholarships to date and we look forward to further scholarships being given in the near future.

ANZ Mortgage Introducer Program
After much consideration and member feedback from a survey of our network, Women in Business & Regional Development would like to announce our involvement in the ANZ Mortgage Introducer Program.
This opportunity by our Major Sponsor ANZ will enable us to receive additional funding to support the sustainability of our network through a mortgage introducer program whereby WIBRD receive 0.3% on residential loans and 0.6% of commercial loans from ANZ when members and sponsors of WIBRD mention their association with Women in Business & Regional Development.
The program will run for a trial period until from March 31, 2016 to October 1, 2016. A decision will then be made by the then current WIBRD Board if the program will continue taking in to account the 2017 sponsorship prospectus.
The WIBRD involvement in the program does not mean that we recommend the ANZ mortgage products over other mortgage products offered in the sector, and all people getting a loan are advised to perform their own due diligence in deciding what product is best for you or your business needs.
The decision to go ahead with this program has been reliant upon the feedback received from our network and we thank all that have contributed to the WIBRD making the decision to be involved.
All money raised from this program from the trial period will go towards the WIBRD Scholarship fund that has been developed in conjunction with the Stand like Stone Foundation and operational costs for the WIBRD network to ensure our sustainability and ability to offer our members cost effective training and events.
Please note that all enquiries and financial or personal information is kept strictly confidential and no information is passed from ANZ to the network.
If you are interested in hearing more about the program or ANZ products please contacting one of the following ANZ Mount Gambier Staff Members;
