Forrestfield North Update

The City of Kalamunda has been working with TPG+Place Match and relevant State Government agencies to prepare the draft Local Structure Plans (LSPs) for Forrestfield North which will be  presented to Council for adoption to advertise early in 2018.

The following key studies having now been completed or are near completion:
  • Detailed urban design and site planning;
  • Detailed environmental analysis including spring surveys and noise and vibration modelling
  • Preparation of Local Water Management Strategies (LWMSs);
  • Comprehensive traffic modelling;
  • Economic, employment and retail strategy;
  • Concept civil designs for all major infrastructure; and
  • Community infrastructure and open space planning.
The Forrestfield North area contains a number of significant environmental values and drainage considerations which require careful planning and attention. The City is continuing to work closely with State Government agencies including Metronet, the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation and the Office of the Environmental Protection Authority to work through these considerations.
