Kambarang - the season of birth, is represented by the colour yellow, symbolising the coming of the heat. The moojar (Australian Christmas trees) will be flowering in preparation for the hot weather.

What's on in November @ your library?

Big Bumper Book Sale

Date: 13th and 20th November
9.00am - 12noon

Location: Lesmurdie Library

Choose from more than 800 pre-loved books, DVDs and magazines, all reasonably priced.

100% of proceeds will be donated to Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.

Italy on my tongue: Poems that taste of home

Italy on my tongue: Poems that taste of home

Date: 24th November 5.30pm - 6.30pm
Location: Kalamunda Library

Josephine Clarke and Rose van Son are both published poets who love to read poetry and tell stories of their Italian heritage, their nonnas, and their mothers’ journeys to Australia.

Join us at Kalamunda Library as Josephine and Rose read poems with themes of family, food, culture, longing and belonging, loss and arrival and new beginnings.  Readings are enhanced with beautiful images of Josephine’s mother’s village in the north of Italy and Rose’s mother’s village in the south.

Light refreshments will be provided and books available for purchase.

Attendance is FREE but bookings are required.
