Bunuru 2022

Kaya / Hello,

Welcome to the City of Kalamunda Library Services e-newsletter.

Noongar Season

Bunuru (February - March) - the season of adolescence. Bunuru is the hottest time of the year. Many white flowering gums are in flower, including Jarrah, Marri and Ghost Gums.

Kanyana Fundraiser
Lesmurdie Library raised $344.90 for the Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in its November Booksale. Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to wildlife conservation. They care for sick, injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife; breed threatened species; conduct training and research; and educate schools and community. Kanyana is set in a beautiful national park surrounded by jarrah forest in the Perth Hills. They accept any native wildlife at their hospital which is open from 8am-8pm every day of the year. You can find further information about Kanyana here.
