Lung Love...Acupressure for Cough, Asthma, Chest Congestion Lung 1: Central Palace: A central place where nourishing and invigorating energies are born. Slide your finger along your collarbone to the outer end, just above the armpit. Central Palace is the natural depression just under the collarbone and just above the armpit.
Lung Love.....Some Self-Acupressure to Help During this Forest Fire Smoke

I'm just heading off to volunteer at the Vancouver Island Musicfest all weekend, and just wanted to give you a quick acupressure point to help you if all the forest fire smoke has been bothering you.
I've had a really challenging week....breathing-wise. My lungs, sinuses and eyes have been overloaded and suffering all week. I am so grateful to have the ancient technique of acupressure to use on myself to assist my body right now.

This acupressure point Lung 1, "Middle Palace" or "Letting Go" is located on the front of your body, three fingers’ width below your collarbone, next to the top of your upper arm bone, between the ribs there. Press from the side towards the lungs. These spots can be tender and will require gentle pressure when beginning this exercise.
As you hold the points on each side, take slow deep breaths into the lungs.

Deep breathing while holding Lung 1 not only opens the respiratory system, helping with coughs, chest congestion, asthma and the like, but also clears repressed emotions such as grief, emotional holding, frustration, and anger, thus freeing your spirit.
If you are feeling stuck, these Lung points can allow you to let go of what you’re holding on to. Because the Lungs are associated with emotion of Grief, don't be surprised if a few tears flow, but as you finish doing this a few times you will feel much lighter and be able to take deeper breaths.

Let's all send some energy and prayers into seeing the forest fires ending, and the air clearing.
Let me know if this point helps, and if you need a full session on your lung meridian, or need assistance processing or releasing Grief, I have a couple spots open next week. And of course, if you are having serious breathing difficulties make sure to get to the hospital!

I hope you all have a great weekend.
Love and Blessings,
Alicia
