In September, Verna attended the SIL Linguistics Conference in Holzhausen, Germany. In her presentation, she reported on the accomplishments of Dictionary & Lexicography Services (DLS) during the past several years and also plans for expanding the services that DLS offers.
During the week in Germany, Verna and her colleagues visited the Ehrenbretstein Fortress on the Rhein river.
Robert is in the process of revising An Exegetical Summary of 1 & 2 Thessalonians. Currently, he is working on chapter 4 of 1 Thessalonians. The original book, An Exegetical Summary of 1 & 2 Thessalonians summarized 23 commentaries and 9 English versions of the New Testament. Robert is adding 9 commentaries and 10 English versions of the New Testament.
Family Reunion
Immediately after Verna came home from Germany, we flew to Bangor, Maine. Verna's sister and her husband drove from Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia and met us at the airport. The four of us spent four days enjoying each other and the beautiful scenery in the Bar Harbor vicinity.
Celebrate with the Mato language group of Papua New Guinea as they receive the New Testament in their language for the first time.
