Student Graduation Part 1
It was a busy week of celebrations last week, as our Class of 2021 attended their graduation ceremonies at Worcester Cathedral.

On Wednesday, students from the first cohort of the FdA Early Years Professional collected their certificates, watched by their course leader Suzy, Ginny and Lorna.

Guess the staff of The Learning Institute?
Student Graduation Part 2
It was the turn of Anne and Tracey to cheer on our mental health students on Thursday, as our FdSc Mental Health and Wellbeing of Children and Young People and BSc (Hons) Child and Adolescent Mental Health graduated.

Massive congratulations to our Mental Health class of 2021!
Student Graduation Part 3
Finally, on Friday it was time for our education students to celebrate with their friends, family and tutors Dawn, Naz, Trevor, Owain, Steve, Jeff and John as they graduated with an FdA Inclusive Education, an FdA Learning and Education or a BA (Hons) Professional Practice.

Congratulations to you all!
First Level 5 assignment submitted - a student perspective
"I sit here writing this having just submitted my first assignment of Level 5. And what an achievement it feels. Whilst it’s not been the easiest of journeys to get it written (not every module or assignment will be our favourite), looking at where I started this time last year to where am I now, it’s unbelievable."

Cornwall Association of Primary Heads Conference
Members of The Learning Institute recruitment team recently attended their first face-to-face conference in almost two years, at the beautiful venue of the Eden Project in Cornwall.

Over two October days just before half-term. Ania, Eva, Ginny and Lorna met with Cornwall Association of Primary Heads (CAPH) delegates to share our programmes and discuss how TLI could support staff development.  We were also able to listen in to the inspirational key note speaker, and workshops which included 'Growing in Resilience' and 'Daring to be Different'.
We are looking forward to attending our next conference later this month in Bournemouth.  The conference is being held by the Wessex Association of Leaders in Education (WALE), whom The Learning Institute is sponsoring this year.
Higher Education presence can have impact in Early Years
This research from the Education Policy Institute, funded by the Nuffield Foundation, finds that the presence of a graduate in private, voluntary and independent (PVI) early years settings demonstrates a small but positive association with young children’s educational attainment.

Have you joined any of our Research Interest Groups?

Invitation to join the Learning Institute Natural Schooling Research Interest Group (RIG). It's free!

Would you like to be part of a like-minded community passionate about outdoor learning and eager to find out about and share new research, practice and knowledge?

TLI tutor, co-author of Bloomsbury's National Curriculum Outdoors series and chairperson of The Learning Institute Natural Schooling RIG Debbie Lambert would like to extend an invitation to new members.

What does this mean in practice?
Once a term you'll be invited to an online meeting. There will be an agenda, which you will be welcome to add items to. The meeting will normally last about an hour and take place after work (UK time).

How do I join up?
We would like to encourage anyone who hasn’t already expressed interest in joining one of our RIGs to email zoe.nixon@learninginstitute.co.uk or r.d@learninginstitute.co.uk
