Ven. Lama Ngawang Tsultrim Zangpo of Nepal visits Open Way Sangha Oct 14-15-16
WiseUSA Full Moon Conference Call Continues
Santa Cruz / Silicon Valley ETV Burial Plans

Please join us for a very special benefit weekend with Ven. Lama Ngawang Tsultrim Zangpo of Nepal.
Ngawang Tsultrim Zangpo is a Nyingma Lama in the Sherpa tradition of Nepal and a Dzogchen master of the Rigdzin Dakgyud lineage. His primary teacher, H.E. Kushok Mangdon (Charok Rinpoche), gave the Earth Treasure Vase practice to Cynthia Jurs, director of Open Way Sangha and the Earth Treasure Vase Global Healing Project. Lama Tsultrim personally oversaw the production of the Earth Treasure Vases and returns to Santa Fe to share stories, consecrate the 2nd generation of ETVs, and practice with us.

We are deeply grateful for all Lama Tsultrim Zangpo has done to bring the ETVs to us and invite everyone to come, give him a warm welcome, hear his stories and teachings — and honor him by contributing as much as you can to help him and the people of Shardingma (Nalidanda Village) in Nepal to rebuild Tolu Tharling Monastery in the Sagarmatha (Everest) region where he and his father, H.E. Kyabje Kyabprok Tulku Rinpoche are abbots. The Tharling Gompa Primary School, built by Lama Tsultrim Zangpo, was also destroyed by the earthquake. In addition to these precious places in Nepal, Lama Tsultrim’s Dharma Center in New Orleans, Dhongak Tharling, was also destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. All donations will be given directly to Lama Tsultrim Rinpoche to help in these rebuilding efforts. The schedule of events follows below. Please come!

Blessing and Burial of the
Santa Cruz / Silicon Valley CA Earth Treasure Vase ~

By ETV Steward Leslie Meehan, co-founder of the Gaiafield Project
The Santa Cruz Mountains sit between Silicon Valley and the Pacific Ocean near Santa Cruz, California. The mountains are home to majestic coastal redwood forests, beautiful rivers, wild species like mountain lions, and small human settlements. Based on years of "subtle activist" meditation practice, the mountains appear to be a significant Earth energy center, anchoring the subtle heart of Silicon Valley and the whole south San Francisco Bay.

The Santa Cruz Mountains / Silicon Valley Earth Treasure Vase was received from Cynthia in 2013 as one of the early second-generation vases. It has participated in many ceremonial circles over the past three years and will be buried during this October full moon. Thank you for sending your love and blessings for this Vase during the full moon as we gather in community for our final ceremony to fill, seal and bury this holy vessel in this powerful region of the world. May our practice bring love, joy, and healing to the region and the entire Earth community.

Lama Tsultrim says "My great-grandfather back seven generations was a great Dzogchenpa, Ven. Lama Nyima Rinpoche. Since then my great -grandfathers in each generation have built monasteries, stupas and mani walls. My father, H.E. Kyaprok Tulku Rinpoche, is a reincarnate lama and one of my teachers along with H.H. Kushok Mangden Rinpoche, and Venerable Lama Choktrul Rinpoche." Lama Tsultrim has taught Western students and built stupas since 1981, when he first went to Italy at the invitation of H.E.Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche. He divides his time between Nepal and New Orleans.
