The last Timaru Newcomers Coffee Morning before the Christmas break will be held on Wednesday 21 December 2016. The Coffee Morning will start again next year on Wednesday 11 January 2017.

The parade leaves the Landing Service
Building George Street and heads up Stafford Street to the Port Loop Road.

Christmas on the Bay

The InHarmony community choir will provide their exquisite harmonies along with a variety of local talent from around South Canterbury. There’ll be the usual crowd sing-alongs and some extra crowd surprises. Other exciting acts still to be announced.
This will be the 8th year of the very popular 'Christmas on the Bay' variety concert.
A true family affair....... bring a picnic or purchase your dinner at the various food stalls, Santa’s grotto to visit the big guy, and much, much more. Phone Di 021688034 for further details.

A special event put on by South Canterbury Museum and St Mary's Church. There will be market stalls, live entertainment, heritage tours of St Mary's Church and competitions in the Museum, plus free refreshments.

The Aoraki Migrant Centre has opened a Give a Little page to raise funds to continue working with the Migrants, Refugees and Newcomers who arrive in the Aoraki Region.  If you would like to donate please go online to the Give a Little page and Aoraki Migrant Centre.
Give a little is owned by the Spark Foundation as a means of raising funds online. Their philosophy is ‘A Simple way to Give and Share the Kiwi Spirit’.
