DOW Chemical and IUCN join 2030 WRG Governing Council and Steering Board

The Dow Chemical Company and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) are both partnering with 2030 WRG to support its activities at the global and national levels. The partnership will be centered on multi-stakeholder collaboration between public, private and civil society actors in the area of sustainable water resources management.

CONAGUA to institutionalize investment prioritization system

In Mexico, 2030 WRG has worked with CONAGUA to develop its capital investment prioritization system. This timely development comes in a moment of severe budgetary constraints that have prompted institutional development efforts. The system has four stages and supports a rational investment programming process according to different policy priorities.

The multi-stakeholder Kilimanjaro Water Stewardship Platform provides organizations with a mechanism to develop, coordinate and scale up solutions to tackle the growing water resource challenges in the Pangani River Basin.

In Bangladesh, the working groups have started working on Water Valuation and Incentives and progressing in the area of supporting the investment plan team in identifying PPP opportunities.

The Secretary of Ministry of Water Resources, Ganga Rejuvenation and River Development, Shashi Shekhar, released a white paper on Urban Wastewater PPPs, prepared by the FICCI Water Mission and 2030 WRG.

2030 WRG South Africa Knowledge Exchange: sharing best practices on water from across the globe

To encourage countries within our network to identify and replicate best practice solutions from elsewhere, 2030 WRG held an international exchange with all our 10 counties/states. This exchange was held in South Africa, one of the earliest members of the 2030 WRG network, from February 29 to March 4, 2016.

Public-Private Partnerships make quality water possible in Peru

A high-level breakfast was organized with representatives of the State, the private sector, academia and civil society to find the best alternative and various sustainable solutions for a water treatment program of great potential in the Amazon.

Hindon Yatra: A Multi-stakeholder Platform for River Rejuvenation in Uttar Pradesh, India
|
|
|
A series of symposiums on River Rejuvenation & Water Resource Management will be held in the State of Uttar Pradesh (India) from end of June until end of August. It is accompanied by an inspiring multi-media exhibition to showcase local efforts made to rejuvenate one of the most polluted rivers in the Ganga basin, the River Hindon.

2030 WRG took part in the Sustainable Management Expo 2016 organized by the Peru 2021 association and Pontifical Catholic University of Peru from 27 to 29 April.

South Africa partners host session on No Drop certification
|
|
|
2030 WRG recently joined the biennial WISA conference hosted in Durban by the Water Institute of Southern Africa (WISA), where the Strategic Water Partners Network (SWPN) hosted a session jointly with the Department for Water and Sanitation (DWS) focused on the ‘No Drop certification’.
