Dear Supporters,

Welcome the the August edition of the Yayasan Bali Peduli Newsletter.

As always, it has been a busy few months since our last update!

We have recently released our mid-year report, which is available in full on our website. We're really proud of what our team has been able to achieve so far this year. See below for a snapshot of our achievements.

Increased demand for our services means that it is becoming increasingly tough to finance our clinics. The only barrier in our mission to save lives and prevent the spread of HIV in Bali is money.

Unless we are able to urgently raise funds we will be unable to continue to finance our work after the end of October. If you feel that you can help us to continue our work, please visit our website to learn more about how to donate.

Thank you for your continued support of our work.

With kind regards,

The team at Bali Peduli

Mid-Year Report

As you can see from the above stats, it's been a big year for Bali Peduli already!

Both Klinik Anggrek (Ubud) and Klinik Bali Medika (Kuta) have seen increased demand for HIV and STI testing services.

In late March we launched Bali Peduli Muda; a program to raise awareness for sexual health and gender issues among young people in Bali. We are also pleased to have been selected as the event charity for the 2015 Bali G-Slam Tennis Tournament.

Donating to Bali Peduli

In the first 6 months of this year alone, 119 people tested positive for HIV at our clinics.

That's 119 people who now know their status and are able to take control of their health and get on with their lives. It's 119 people that have access to medicines that will improve their health and quality of life. 119 people who could have died of AIDS related illnesses if left untreated.

A further 335 people tested positive for STIs at our clinics in the same 6 month period. All of these people are now equipped with the treatment they need and the knowledge they require to protect themselves and others against STIs.

The increased demand for HIV testing is a great thing as far as we're concerned. Knowing your HIV status is the first step in being able to take control or your health and is vital in preventing the spread of HIV.

But we can't continue to do this work without financial support.

At the moment we lack the funds to continue our operations after October this year.

If you feel that you can support us to continue our life saving work in Bali, please visit our website to learn more about how to donate.
