Dear <<First Name>>

Manifesto for Change

Recently we released our manifesto for the future of CUFC. It was shown to members who attended the meeting in Foxy's on May 12. We have made it available for downloading. Link below:

We welcome any comments or suggestions you have to make. We'd like all responses within the next fortnight so we can work on completing any changes and publish the final version before our AGM which will be held in July.

CUOSC Chatter

CUOSC are hoping to help the Blues hit the goal trail next season.

The club have asked if we will assist in funding new freestanding full-size goals for the training pitch at Brunton Park. And we believe anything that helps us hit the target on a more regular basis must be a good investment.

The goals will cost around £2,500 and the money would come from the £13,500 raised during our ‘Carlisle REUnited’ campaign which ran during the Covid pandemic.

We have already spent around £7,000 of the funds on state-of-the-art training equipment and a cover to help with pitch protection in cold weather.

Money has also been ear-marked for the development of the fans zone in the car park behind the main stand. Whatever happens all the money will end up benefiting the club.

But what do you think? Email info@cuosc.org.uk or reply to this email.

It is great to see over 1,700 season tickets have already been sold for the new season. However, there is still time to catch the ‘early buy’ period and make a three-game saving. It runs until June 17. There is the opportunity to spread the cost over 10 months by paying with direct debit.

With less than a month until the Blues are back in training fans are keeping a keen eye on transfer activity. There could be at least six new faces in the squad before we report back on June 22.

Carlisle-born Owen Moxon, 24, has already signed a two-year deal after leaving Annan.  He was a youth team player at the Blues before being released but has rebuilt his career in Scotland. He now has a chance to live his dream.

It was also good to hear that Taylor Charters, another local boy, and Brennan Dickenson have committed themselves for a further year by signing new contracts.

Latest from Brunton Park

Midfielders Taylor Charters and Brennan Dickenson both put pen to paper this week to keep themselves at Brunton Park for the next 12 months. These signings, together with that of new arrival Owen Moxon last week, means boss Paul Simpson may have finalised his midfield jigsaw puzzle.

There remains the issue of goalkeeper Magnus Norman who has yet to commit his immediate future to the club.

Meanwhile on loan striker Tristan Abrahams helped his club Grimsby Town reach the final of the National League play-offs as they won a thriller 5-4 at Wrexham yesterday.
