April 29 - May 4, 2019

2019 Registration is Open!

Take a gander at our Speaker & Trip Schedule, Trip Descriptions, Lodging, and Registration options on birding-wv.com!

New stuff to look for in 2019:
TreeTops Canopy Tour - Enjoy Monday morning Birding by Butt, then add some "wow" to your afternoon and be back in time with more stories to tell over dinner!
Cabins at ACE Adventure Resort - Available to All Week and Half-week packages. ACE is 20 minutes (11.8 miles) from our Burnwood rendezvous point, and 25 minutes (14.5 miles) from headquarters at Opossum Creek Retreat. These cabins are off the beaten path, modern, private, comfy and clean, with the amenities of home. WiFi is not available in the cabins but is in the nearby welcome center and they offer a reduced rate as compared to our other lodging partners.
All Day trips are now by Minibus - upgraded transportation with bucket seats; limited to twelve persons plus guides (exception: Thursday Cranberry Original).

Did You Know, we have cabin lodging options for groups up to 12 people, and Hemlock Haven Cabins are Dog Friendly, and if you like free stuff, we give away t'shirts to each person in your party when your reservation is paid in full within an hour of clicking submit!

Start the week together again or for the first time, around a catered gourmet Dinner in The Meadows, Sunday, April 28 at 6pm for a tax deductible contribution to the Fayette County Education Fund. Seats are limited to 20 people and include special guests. The menu provides a vegetarian option and is sent to those with reservations for selection. Look for it on your Registration.

We have 2 Easy Peasy links with preselected daily Gold Standard trips and lodging: Country Road Cabins or Holiday Lodge hotel. Simple. Convenient. Easy Peasy! You select the number of people in your party, enter your contact information and hit Submit. That's it.

I hope you have had a wonderful summer and I hope you enjoy a beautiful autumn and absolutely lovely winter.

All the best,
Rachel and The NRBN Team
Trip Leader Spotlight ... the Bills!
Bill Thompson III... How much fun is this guy! In the field, in front of a room, on stage, under pressure or fully relaxed, he brims with interest, fun, and talent.
Dr. Bill Hilton, Jr., an educator, naturalist, and scientist, was named one of “50 Best Brains in Science”  in the December 2008 issue of Discover magazine! Wow.
