2 Timothy 2:1-2
You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.  (niv)

When we went to Haiti, we discussed going in March 2017 when it would be cooler. Gods plan was to go in August 2016. Yes it was very hot and humid. However as you will see in this newsletter, Gods timing quickly became very obvious.

One of the prayer requests we had as we went to Haiti was that there would be pastors who would take the lead in the championing of disciple making in Haiti. In this newsletter, we want to share what has happened in the past month.
These are reports and pictures are from Jean Claude Esther who was our translator and who is continuing the training in Haiti.

There have been several disciple makers training classes in the areas of Jacmel and Cayes which are south of Port Au Prince. These training classes are already bearing fruit which we will share about a little later in the newsletter. I am including some photos of these classes.

Note that these classes also include disciple training of youth. As an aside, while we were in Mirabalais Haiti we were also able witness orphans being discipled in the orphanage where we stayed. We also met a lady from Canada in Port Au Prince, who has operated an orphanage in a nearby village, who ensures that these children receive training from Gods Word.
Jean Claude shares with us that the training which was imparted in Mirebalais with the 87 pastors, will multiply. It is harvest time in Haiti. This is Gods time in Haiti to do the mending.
Jean shared that over 20 more people are lined up for discipleship training. The church in the area is about 300 in church membership. With this class being equip as disciple makers, they project to have 1400 members before Christmas.
When we were invited to come to Haiti to provide disciple making training, we planned for 50 pastors and brought in material for 60 pastors. As you know by our last newsletter, 87 pastors and leaders came.

Jean shared with us that there is no telling what will happen this weekend in the Discipleship training Class. Pray that God provide transportation means and send the right people for such training. We are over excited for what God is doing in our Nation. The class of 6 in in Jacmel turned to twenty. During the training classes in Jacmel, 3 born again believers were added for one to one discipling.

God is moving in Jacmel Haiti. One of the trainers has lead 12 new people to the Lord. More to that is a chief gang leader in the slums gave his heart to Jesus.  In addition two other gang members in the slum areas of Jacmel urban section are now born again and want to change that city and surrounding areas.
What is exciting is that these new Christians will be followed up and disciple to bring change. What God has started, will not be stopped.

God was at work in Haiti for several years and since the earthquake, reports are that the number of born again believers have grown by forty percent. Many have left their religion and beliefs which gave them no hope, and have turned to follow Jesus Christ. What God is doing is ensuring people are equipped to lead others to Jesus Christ and begin to disciple them. Not in large gathering but in smaller groups who are committed to discipleship.
There are so many needs in Haiti for providing food and shelter for orphans.  One of the greatest needs is for Bibles for the pastors and the discipled. (In particular Bibles in the Creole language.) Someone reading this newsletter, may know of a source in Haiti to provide Bibles, or may be going to Haiti and can bring Bibles for the people. Bibles can be purchased in Port Au Prince for 8 dollars USAD. Some of you may want to join with others who are donating funds to provide Bibles.
Maurice Chavannes, president of Vision Citadelle willing to forward money to Haiti for purchase of Bibles.
Two ways to donate is either through the website, or by mailing address as follows:
