Region's SMEs shine at Expo

Secretary of State for Health and Care Matt Hancock tries out VR with Patient Memoirs

It was great to see so many SMEs from the North West Coast exhibiting at the Health and Care Expo last week, alongside the best health innovators from around the world.

A magnificent seven were on our AHSN Network Innovator Zone or related areas and some were picked out for a visit by Health Secretary Matt Hancock: Damibu, Health Diagnostics, IEG4, Inovus Medical, MoRow, ORCHA, Patient Memoirs and Sundown Solutions.

Artificial intelligence in health and care

A new ‘state of the nation’ report about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in health and care was launched at Expo.

The report was written in collaboration between the AHSN Network, Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England following a survey to determine how artificial intelligence can be harnessed within the NHS and in preventative health settings. Download it here.
