April 1 - 6 - Mix bag of events
Pray for David Elliott as he prepares for a potential move for the office. Details need to be worked out before a final decision is made. Pray for the Lord's continued guidance.
The GRN International Leadership team will be meeting in Nepal from the 3rd to the 10th. Pray for the group as they address the needs of the ministry.
Pray for Winston Omenya, as he officially steps down as the director of the ministry in Kenya. He is also celebrating his birthday this month. You may send him birthday greetings and best wishes at WinstonOmenya@globalrecordings.net.
Pray for Walter Okelo, as he steps into the senior leadership role in the Kenya office. Pray for James Shikuku, he has made 300 recordings since joining GRN. He also serves as a recordist trainer for GRN.
In the next issue of the Update I will be sharing some encouraging reports on how the GRN materials have been a blessing in Kenya. Pray that the materials distributed will be an blessing to the churches in Kenya. New recording projects are being held up due to a lack of funds. Pray that we will see sufficient funds come in to meet this need.
April 7 – 13 – International
A GRN team in Asia plans to record gospel messages in ten unrecorded languages of their country in 2019. Pray that all the details will come together to make this a reality.
The team also plans to distribute 2,000 SD cards in 30 languages. Pray that the impact will be multiplied many times over.
GRN South Africa has arranged for several
teams to work in Madagascar on program translations in 12 languages. Ask the Lord to give each team accuracy and grace to persevere so they can soon be recorded.
Director, Kenny McKee praises the Lord for the way in which He has blessed the work of GRN UK this past year.
Kenny also asks for pray that there may be more opportunities to share ministry.
Pray for Graydon Colville as he provides help to many of the GRN offices around the world.
April 14 – 20 – International
Pray for the Canadian Board as they meet on Monday, April 15th.
Pray for the Board members; Christine, Bill, Tim, Roy, Alex, Glenn and Pratiba. Pray as some need to decide if they want to renew their commitment to the Board for another three years.
Bangladesh team gives thanks for recordists, Ranjan and Habib. They work under very difficult circumstances. Pray for God's guidance and protection.
Praise the Lord for the recently distributed Gospel messages in five languages in Pakistan.
Please pray for protection for this amazing team working in often difficult situations.
GRN played a significant role with people in three Tibetan villages turning to Christ.
These villagers are now reaching out to a fourth village. Pray for God to multiply their numbers.
Please pray that our GRN work in India will restart in spite of all the enormous problems. In this land of many languages.
April 21 – 27 – Canada
The GRN Canada Banquet is this coming Saturday in Hamilton at West Highland Baptist Church (6 PM). Pray for the preparations for this time of celebration.
Pray for Godsave as he flies from Tanzania to Canada for the banquet. Pray that there will be no last minute problems with the visa.
Pray that the annual corporation meeting on Saturday will have a good turnout.
If you are in the Hamilton area and forgot to call about the banquet, it may not be too late. Pray that we will have a good attendance for the banquet.
The banquet is free with a love offering being taken. Pray that there will be a generous offering to help the ministry in Tanzania and Kenya.
Kevin and Ruth Horan from Canada are serving in the US office. Pray for Kevin as he is on the management team. Pray for Ruth as she is on the search committee for a new director.
April 28 – April 30 – Mexico
Pray for plans for future recordings and the needed finances.
Recordist Chuy Tejeda often works alone and would like to have a team member to help. Pray that God will raise up a co-worker.
Proyecto Sonora is a new project that the team wants to start this year. Pray that volunteers from churches will come forward to help. Pray also for the staff and Board of GRN USA as they seek to discern God’s will for the future. The Board has appointed Larry Devilbiss as the interim director. Pray for wisdom as Larry leads the team during this time of transition.
