September 1 – 7 – International & National Directors
 
Graydon Colville is the International Director of the Network. Pray for Graydon, as he oversees the International Leadership Team and corresponds with GRN national directors.
 
Graydon will be attending the orality consultation in the UK in late September.  He hopes to spend time with GRN leaders in Europe.  He will then travel to Toronto in order to take part in the International Orality conference from October 3 to 5thPray for God’s hand upon the trip.
 
The USA Board has appointed Larry DeVilbiss as the Executive Director.  Pray for Larry, to provide godly and visionary leadership.  Pray that the work will be strengthened and blessed under his leadership.
 
Dan and Jon Rulison have returned to GRN USA after a few years serving with another ministry.  Pray for Dan, as he assumes the role of the USA Deputy Director.  Pray for Joan, as she serves as Executive Assistant.
 
The European team are looking for the right person to fill the role of European director.  Pray for someone with a good grasp of the GRN ethos and mandate, with a heart for mission and the ability to lead a diverse team.
 
Christine Platt, the GRN Australia Director asks that we pray she might hear the Shepherd’s voice and follow Him wherever He might lead.
 
Give thanks for GRN centres and bases in over 40 countries.  Pray for God’s strengthening of them, good partnerships with local churches and for effective ministry.
 
There have been a number of GRN leaders that have recently retired or will be in the near future.  God is raising up new leaders to take over the ministries.  Pray for these new leaders as they receiving training on leadership and other aspects of leading a mission team.
 
September 8 – 14 – Africa/ Canada
 
The GRN Canada Board meeting will take place on Wednesday of this week.  We greatly appreciate your prayers as the board meets to discuss the operation of the Canadian office. 
 
Africa is a continent of many injustices, difficulties and challenges.  Pray for our fellow believers will be strong in their faith.  Pray for justice, peace and good governance over all of Africa countries.
 
Pray for the health of our workers in Africa.  They face health issues such as malaria.
 
GRN South Africa recently lost two significant donors.  In addition 80% of all municipalities in South Africa have declared bankruptcy which is affecting giving of donors.  Pray for a new supply of funding for the ministry.
 
Pray that James and Walter, in Kenya will be able to use the material last month to see an increase in local financial support for the ministry.
 
Pray that a fulltime worker will be raised up for the ministry in Tanzania. They would like to have a local recordist trained.
 
Pray for GRN Togo as they focus on an area in the north. They are producing recordings and partnering with a church planting effort, to help with evangelism and discipleship within a people group that has few Christians and low literacy.
 
September 15 – 21 – International
 
Pray for the trainees who completed the recordist training course in Brazil in July – Gustavo and Innes from Ecuador and Thiago, Fernanda, Dionara, Karine, and Rosângela. Pray that they will have many opportunities to practice what they have learned.
The content of our messages is vitally important. Ask God to provide GRN with scriptwriters who have insight into the needs of the target audiences. Ask the Lord to anoint the content of each script as it proclaims truth.
 
There is a growing need to have several French-speaking recordists active in Francophone Africa to advance the recording work there. Pray for the recruiting and training of several such recordists. 
 
A large number of languages in Indonesia are without a witness of the good news. Pray for GRN recordists as they seek to record Bible stories for people living on the many islands of this Muslim-majority country.
 
Pray for open doors for GRN Thailand staff members who regularly visit villages, offering simple health checks as well as sharing the recorded messages.
 
Pray for Joel and Judith Hernandez, as they lead the work in Spain.  The team has distributed GRN materials to people from Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and South America.
 
September 22 – 28
 
Pray for Diane Roberts, as she comes into the office this week to help with the financial program.  I give thanks for her willingness to drive further.
 
Helen Sadler is located in Australia but helps many GRN Centres including the Canadian web page.  Pray for her alertness and attention to detail as she work with GRN’s data.
 
The Ramos family moved from Brazil to Spain to join GRN’s work there.  Pray that they will settle in well, and fully embrace the new challenge.
 
Pray for the UK Board and Director Kenny McKee, as they seek God’s will over long-term plans for the UK work.  Kenny and Joan made recordings in five languages in Tbilisi, Georgia.
 
GRN Mexico plans to start a new outreach to migrant workers this year called Proyecto Sonora.  Pray that many volunteers from local churches will step up to help share GRN evangelistic materials.
 
The GRN website and 5fish make the good news instantly available to people in almost 6,500 different languages and dialects.  Pray for every person who visits the GRN website and listens to a recording in their own language.  May the Lord touch their hearts and draw them to himself.
 
Pray for Elise Cooper (Australia) and team as they work on developing the recordist training curriculum and course content.  This course is vital to enable us to train recordists well and consistently. 
 
September 29 – 30 – Canada
 
Pray for Graydon Colville, he flies to Toronto from Europe on the October 1st.  He will be attending the ION conference and taking some meetings.
 
Pray for David Elliott as he finalizes the monthly reports for the Board.
