SUSTAINABLE WESTCHESTER TO BE HONORED BY
NEW YORK LEAGUE OF CONSERVATION VOTERS
OCTOBER  28, 2014

Wow!  We are delighted and proud to announce that Sustainable Westchester will be honored by the New York League of Conservation Voters, Westchester Chapter, at their “Celebrate a Greener Westchester” Cocktail Party on Tuesday, October 28, 6-8 pm at The Lodge at Hudson Harbor in Tarrytown.

In announcing the honor, NYLCV said, “Sustainable Westchester will help participating municipalities build healthier and more sustainable communities through energy efficiency and related programs and policies.”  We are happy to accept this award on behalf of all our member communities throughout the County, their staff and volunteers, who do such much to ensure a bright future for Westchester.

Our fellow honoree is Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano who has, as NYLCV said “launched one of the most ambitious and comprehensive energy plans of any city in the state – Yonkers Green City – saving taxpayers millions of dollars in energy costs, while protecting the environment.”

The evening’s keynote speaker is Richard Kauffman, Chairman of Energy and Finance for New York State, who is leading the state’s comprehensive strategy to build a cleaner, more resilient and affordable energy infrastructure.

For information, contact Bridget Moffatt at 212-361-6350 ext. 212, bmoffatt@nylcv.org. To purchase tickets online, go to https://www.thedatabank.com/dpg/255/mtglistproc.asp?formid=nylcvmeeting&caleventid=24050.

It’s going to be an exciting evening for all who care about the environment and we hope to see you there!  Please forward this invitation to anyone who you think might be interested in attending.
